No barrel aging needed for this rice. Simply put, this is the best brown rice we’ve tasted.

Our Charleston Gold Brown Rice has enough bounce and flavor to pair with any boldly flavored dish, such as curries, stir fries, smoky field peas and greens, pastured meats, wild game and duck, and rich seafood dishes. It is equally at home adding pizzazz to simple dishes; even humble fried rice and eggs comes to attention in its presence.
In a large saucepan with a lid, add 1 cup rice and 4 cups of water. Soak for 8 hours, if possible, then rinse and strain. Add another 4 cups of water, with a pinch of sea salt, and stir once or twice. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until all the water has absorbed and the rice is soft. You may need to reduce the heat to maintain a nice, civilized simmer; do not forcefully boil the rice!
