ABOUT THE WOODWORKER:
Little Bear Woodshop was founded in August of 2019 by Nicholas Boydston in Oak Grove, OR. Having grown up with a father who was a carpenter/woodworker, woodworking was always something Nicholas was familiar with, but it wasn't until shortly after the birth of his first daughter (affectionately nicknamed "Little Bear") in March of 2019 that he decided it was time to turn it into a career.
After transforming his severely neglected and cluttered garage into a fully functional wood shop, Nicholas bought 3 pieces of hardwood. With those 3 pieces of wood, he made 4 cutting boards. He sold them, and used that profit to buy enough wood to make 8 more boards. Fast forward a year and a half, and he now stocks over 160 products in his online store, is the business editor for The Beartarian Times newspaper, and he says he's just getting started with a revamped website and store coming soon and many new products in the works.
Every single item he sells is made by hand and one of a kind. Using an assortment of domestic hardwoods like Walnut, New England Hard Maple, Curly Maple, North American Cherry, as well as stunning exotic hardwooeds like African Padauk, Wenge, and Sapele, South American Purpleheart, Bloodwood, Yellowheart, and even Olivewood straight from Bethlehem, every item shipped from Little Bear Woodshop is truly stunning and made with a genuine love for the craft.
