Chicken with Buffalo Sauce
Well-seasoned roast chicken tastes great but add this quick homemade buffalo sauce and you’ll take it to another level. Use this healthy version of buffalo sauce whenever you want to enhance the flavor profile of poultry, other protein, or even a bowl of steamed vegetables; it’s incredibly versatile. Give your sauce an extra spicy kick with a generous dash of our Jaya hot sauce and Pepper Salt, to taste.

Ingredients
4 - 5 chicken thighs, marinated

2 Tbsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Pluck All Purpose Organ-Based Seasoning

1 tsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Organic Three-Beet Powder

1 tsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Organic Turmeric Root Powder

1/2 Tbsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Organic Burdock Root Powder

2 Tbsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Balsamic Vinegar
- Rice or mashed potatoes (prepared in advance)
1/2 cup kefir, plain Greek yogurt, or crème fraiche

2+ tsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Jaya Raw Probiotic Hot Sauce

1 tsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Balsamic Vinegar
-
1/2 tsp. Dr. Cowan’s Garden Organic Turmeric Powder

pinch Dr. Cowan’s Garden Organic Pepper Salt
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- chopped tarragon, parsley, or dill (optional)

Directions
Directions for Chicken
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine All Purpose Seasoning, Three-Beet, Turmeric and Burdock powders, and Balsamic Vinegar. This is your marinade.
- Marinate chicken for 1 hour or overnight.
- Place marinated chicken thighs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Cook chicken thighs in the oven for up to 35 minutes or until cooked throughout.
- While the chicken is in the oven prepare the buffalo sauce.
Directions for Buffalo Sauce
Add full fat kefir, Greek yogurt, or crème fraiche to a small bowl.
Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Do a taste test and add additional hot sauce or lemon juice as needed.
Remove cooked chicken from the oven.
Plate chicken and drizzle it with buffalo sauce.
Garnish with a handful of chopped tarragon or any other herb.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
