Easy Carrot-Zucchini Chili

Ingredients: 1 pound grass-fed ground beef 2 Tbsp butter or ghee 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 Tbsp chili powder 1 Tbsp ground cumin 2 Tbsp Dr. Cowan’s Garden Carrot Powder 1 Tbsp Dr. Cowan’s Garden Leek Powder 1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes 1 cup tomato sauce 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed 1 large zucchini, diced 2 cups bone broth Salt and pepper to taste Directions: In a large pot on medium heat, add the butter, onions and garlic. Thai Coconut Soup with Turmeric

Ingredients: 1 Tbsp coconut oil 1 cup brown rice 2 large carrots, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 large onion, chopped 4 cups chicken broth or water 1 Tbsp Dr. Cowan’s Garden Turmeric Powder 2-inch piece of fresh ginger 1 boned and skinned chicken breast 1 can full-fat coconut milk Sea salt and black pepper to taste Directions: In a large pot, melt coconut oil over medium heat and add rice, carrots, celery and onion. Add broth or water and cover. Cut ginger into small pieces and add to pot, along with the Turmeric Powder. Cover again. Let cook over low to medium heat for 30 minutes. Chunky Potato-Leek Soup

Ingredients: 1 quart bone broth plus 1 cup, preferably chicken 3 medium or  6 small potatoes 2 Tbsp butter or ghee 1 onion, peeled and diced 3 Tbsp Dr. Cowan's Garden Leek Powder Sea salt and pepper to taste Directions: Heat butter or ghee in a large saucepan. Add diced onion and cook till soft and fragrant. Remove to a small bowl. Peel and chop potatoes into large chunks. Add bone broth to the saucepan and bring to a simmer. Add potatoes to the broth and simmer, covered, till potatoes are soft. Add the cooked onions to the cooked potatoes in the saucepan. Mash together with a potato masher. Butternut Squash Soup in 10 Minutes (or Less)

Ingredients: 2 strips bacon, chopped ½ onion, chopped ½ Anaheim or jalapeño pepper, chopped (depending how much spice you like) ¼ cup Dr. Cowan’s Garden Winter Squash Powder 3 cups broth (chicken, beef or vegetable) or water Salt and pepper to taste  Directions: Sauté chopped bacon in large saucepan over medium-low heat. When cooked, remove from pan and drain off all but about one tablespoon of grease. Add chopped onions and chopped peppers to pan and cook till soft. Add Winter Squash Powder to sautéed vegetables and stir to combine. Add the broth and whisk to incorporate.
