The wild ramps in this powder were foraged in May from the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Wild ramps are rare in the marketplace because their season is only a few weeks long, and they grow only on the forest floors of the eastern United States and Canada. Also, they grow slowly and take up to four years to flower and reproduce, so sustainable harvesting is a must.

This powder is a delicious way to add a wild vegetable to your daily diet. Wild and perennial vegetables are key to diversifying vegetable consumption (and to ensuring optimal health) because of their extra-rich nutrient content.

Because the powder is stored in a Miron jar, this tender and uniquely flavorful plant is now available for year-round cooking as a delicious powder.

Wild ramps are in the allium family and are often referred to as wild leeks. Prized by the best chefs, they have a distinct onion-garlic flavor.  The entire ramp is generally used in cooking, and we include the whole plant in our powder.

Wild ramps are a rich source of such valuable minerals as selenium (which supports immune function), chromium (needed for blood-sugar regulation), and iron (for production of healthy red blood cells). No doubt, their nutritional richness derives from their mining the humus from the cool forest floor.

In addition to being a rich source of minerals, wild ramps are also a good source of choline, which is needed for brain development, and of the sulfur-containing compound kaempferol, which protects the lining of the blood vessels in our bodies.

Our favorite way to use Wild Ramp Powder is mixed into soft butter to be used over  steaks or roasted chicken, or for sautéing vegetables. It's also delicious sprinkled liberally over sliced potatoes before roasting with sea salt and plenty of olive oil.

Ingredients: Wild-harvested ramps. Nothing else.

Wild ramp powder is a lovely addition to meals. It has a wonderful flavor, adds an additional vegetable and, because of that, increases the minerals and vitamins I consume. Great stuff, like all of Dr. Cowen's vegetable powders! They're worth having!

High quality you can taste

I missed our rsmp season here and typically make ramp butter. The powder is more versatile... thank you!

I value the taste and the ease of acquiring and using veggies that may not be available nor fresh when I'd like it to be.

It came sooner than was expected. I needed this for a supplement that I was previously using that stopped production. I was happy to see that the product was coming, and it arrived sooner than expected. I appreciate promptness.

Every morning. Grass fed butter in a skillet, 2 pasture raised eggs scrambled quickly + 1/2 tsp. Ramp powder while butter is heating up, then throw it into the skillet rinse the bowl quickly, dry it, turn off the heat and the eggs are ready. Delicious! 😋 And quick! 💨

These products are my go to now for all things salads, dressings, soups basically anything but cake (not yet anyway lol). just wonderful! A garden in my cabinet year round.

Backed by my deep trust of Tom Cowan's practice-what-you-preach approach to health, the veggie powders all in general make diversifying our vegetable intake impossibly simple. The wild ramp powder is one I would not easily have come by in my daily life. At first I found it's taste unusual. Today, I can tell my body craves it. Fantastic on scrambled or fried eggs, added to meatloaf or burgers, soups and stocks, it brings a depth of flavor and a benefit to health I wouldn't miss out on.

Really enjoy the Wild Ramp -- subtle but lovely taste I put on my vegetables! Does not leave onion breath -- ha ha! :)

Second time ordering Wild Ramp. Along with the benefits its a wonderful addition to recipes and have enjoyed the Dr. Cowan's Garden recipes that include this ingredient. Definitely check them out and highly recommend this product!

Dr. Cowen's vegetagle powders are just wonderful! I so appreciate the health benefits of these powders and relish the flavors that they add to all my food! I am not a chef and use these powders somewhat indiscriminately but they always make my food taste better. You just can't lose when you use them!

This is fabulous on potatoes in any form!

These powders are wonderful products! I feel fortunate to have them available to me. I am not a chef but do cook. I use these powders somewhat indiscriminately because they add a lovely flavor to what I cook as well as healthy minerals and vitamins. They support my health which is important to me. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I love this wild ramp powder sprinkled on top of soups, stews and eggs. You don’t need a lot so it lasts awhile. Delicious and healthy!

I use the ramps for my morning cup of bone broth to add flavor. Actually use it in just about everything I cook.

I love to add wild ramp powder to everything from scrambled eggs to salad dressings. It gives a delicate onion flavor so I also sprinkle it over my salads as well. Yum!

Love this wild flavor in so many dishes!

I cannot imagine a day without Dr. Cowan's powders.

I add it to my bone broth with grass fed butter. Yum!😋 And my morning eggs (in between hard and soft boiled) get a sprinkle. Just about anything savory, it's yummy!

ramp ilke the mild garlic flavor.. Like al the products I ordered, all are repeat orders

Wild Ramp Powder - Refill Pouch This tastes good on meat, veggies, and eggs. Very flavorful!

Excellent! I use a variety of the powders in different ways (eggs, broth, fish, chicken...) and they never disappoint. I love how they can make a simple meal absolutely delicious!

LOVE WILD RAMP Like the slightly oniony taste. Use with eggs, cheese and whatever else I may be cooking. Haven't tried it on popcorn but plan to.

Yummy! We love the Ramp powder. It’s good really on anything. We like it on eggs in the morning, and it’s great in butter over fish, and in broth...

YUM Put it in soups and my bone broth.

All the powders... I most often mix powders together and use in eggs, salad dressings, soup, etc. I love them. My kitchen time is getting to be more creative and flavorful, and I am grateful for Dr. Cowan et al for the collective vision, mission, and faithful efforts to bring these wonderful additions to our diet and life! Thank you.
