Instant Borscht
Ingredients:
- 1 quart chicken or beef bone broth
- 2 tsp Dr. Cowan’s Garden Three-Beet Powder
- 1 tsp Dr. Cowan’s Garden Carrot Powder
- ¼ cup heavy cream or yogurt
- Pinch of sea salt, or more as desired
Directions:
- In a saucepan, heat the bone broth until a rolling boil.
- Add the powders and sea salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Allow soup to cool slightly, then add the cream or yogurt and stir to combine.

Pumpkin Bisque with Ashitaba
By now hopefully everyone who purchased an Ashitaba plant has had some success with them. I have one and it has grown several new leaves after trimming some for meals.
