Our metabolic support formula combines the well documented improvement in metabolism through the burning of the ketone like chalcones in Ashitaba, with herbs that also support healthy tissue metabolism. Cinnamon is widely used to help with carbohydrate metabolism, burdock helps the liver deal with metabolic toxins, and turmeric helps just about everything. This is also a tea to be used long term at 1-2 cups per day.

Each tea tube contains 20 individual bags of tea. Our natural filter tea bags are made with unbleached plant fiber,are biodegradable, and have no strings, tags or outer wrap. The tea tubes are made from paper and lined with kraft paper and foil with a tin outer lid. We have also placed natural kraft food grade tissue paper inside to further protect the tea bags, as well as to serve as a barrier to the inside polyethylene lid that is there to keep the tea as fresh as possible.

Angelica Archangelica

Ashitaba, otherwise known as “tomorrow leaf,” is the only known edible plant in the Angelica family. Plants in this family were considered gifts to the human being during the Middle Ages, hence, its name.

The most famous Angelica is the well-known medicinal plant Angelica Archangelica, or “gift from the angels and archangels,” which was reportedly the only effective agent against the plague. Ashitaba is a close
relative of archangelica, having evolved in its native lands of Japan, Indonesia and the Phillipines.
