Dr. Cowan’s Garden High Polyphenol Ashitaba Tea features Demeter-certified Ashitaba, biodynamically grown by a small family farm in the U.S. The High Polyphenol blend also includes organic Japanese Sencha green tea, organic elderberries and organic olive leaf. Quantity: 20 tea bags.
The chalcones in Ashitaba have their own detoxifying properties but this is accentuated when combined with the high polyphenol properties of our olive leaves from our multi-generational family grower in Greece (same place we get our delicious olive oils). Organic Elderberries are also higher in polyphenols, specifically anthocyanins, flavonols and phenolic acids. Japanese Sencha green tea is known for its high polyphenol content as well, particularly catechins like EGCG. Polyphenols have been shown to protect against oxidative stress and inflammation, and may help aid in detoxification and support cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological health. Each tea tube contains 20 individual bags of tea. Our natural filter tea bags are made with unbleached plant fiber,are biodegradable, and have no strings, tags or outer wrap. The tea tubes are made from paper and lined with kraft paper and foil with a tin outer lid. We have also placed natural kraft food grade tissue paper inside to further protect the tea bags, as well as to serve as a barrier to the inside polyethylene lid that is there to keep the tea as fresh as possible.
- Steep tea bag in a cup of freshly
boiled water for 4 minutes before enjoying. - Store in original container,
